AI'topia was a installation/performance with three acts, spatially distributed across distinct regions of the exhibition room. This page covers only on the first act - pre artificial intelligence. The first act, focusing on social and individual anxieties caused by the advent of automation in the first part of the 20th century.

AI'topia first act presented two public domain movies - Modern Times, by Charlie Chaplin (1936); and Metropolis, by Fritz Lang (1927) - and the movie of the theater play created in cooperation with mISCuTEm, Icste's theater group.
