dali: Digital Arts Lab, Iscte

Welcome to dali, Iscte's Digital Arts Lab. dali's location, in Iscte, is room D108 (Building 2, floor 1, aisle D).

You can join dali whenever you like. You don't have to know anything about digital or non-digital art. Just send me an email (luis.botelho@iscte.pt).

dali's first edition was in 2022. Now, it's the 2025 edition. In each edition (starting roughly about the end of February or the beginning of March), dali does an exhibition presenting the digital artwork of its members. These are the dali shows . We've done the dali Show 2022, the dali Show 2023 and the dali Show 2024. This year we're working on the dali Show 2025 - Wanderings: what makes you question life?

In addition to the dali shows, we usually have cooperations.

In 2023, we had a cooperation with Iscte's theater group ( mISCuTEm ), Iscte's Academic Tuna , and with individual people. This was an installation-performance about Artificial Intelligence, named AI'topia .

In 2024, we started another cooperation with Iscte's theater group, the contemporary ballet group Corpo Vulto, and an Iscte's Professor, to make a movie presenting ideas of the way a revolution could unfold in our century. The movie is now in the editing process.

Presently, we are just starting another cooperation with mISCuTEm, the Iscte's theater group, to create a perfomance about the way power may be exerted through emotions. This cooperation is aimed at creating a sequence of small narratives. In each narrative, one or a few mISCuTEm's actors will interact with non-interactive art pieces. This cooperation is still in its very beginning.
